Scripps Anderson Cancer Center, La Jolla, California

This “Tree of Hope” installation in the Lobby of the Scripps Anderson Cancer Center is meant to inspire and provide hope and strength to patients undergoing treatment. The doctors chose the phrases that rotate in groups of three. The four levels of color morph every 3 minutes. Being 12 years out from my own cancer treatment I can understand the stress and anxiety that radiation and chemo causes and I can only hope this tree will be soothing and inspiring patients in their own journey.
